Geoff & Sarah's Winter Wonderland Crawford Lake Engagement

Sarah met Geoff while she was living overseas in England, and his face lights up when it comes to snow. On our first meeting after his arrival he showed off his heavy duty snow boots he bought in anticipation of coming over to Canada. When you spend so much time surrounded by white winters, it's hard to remember that sometimes people have only seen snow in movies. (And sometimes then it's not even real!) Heck, I lived in southern Japan until I was ten and my first sight of real snow was simply magical.

It was obvious our shoot had to be outdoors, and in the most magical place we could find, so we donned our long johns and trekked out to Crawford Lake. Sarah proudly wore her Canadian mittens, Geoff couldn't stop smiling, we braved (& conquered) the -9°C weather, and of course I just kept shooting.

Ashley & Andy's New England Wedding On The Lake – Middletown, Connecticut

If I had to choose only one word to represent my time with Ashly & Andy, it would be family. They both made Tom and I feel so welcome, included us in so much, and we walked away good friends. (Ashley and I can’t stop snapchattin’ each other photos of our cats in ridiculous poses.) But of course it was about more than just how they treated us, it was woven into every part of their day. Her engagement ring was built with diamonds from both her mother and mother-in-law’s rings & made with love from the very same jeweller who built the ring Ashley’s mother had crafted when Ashley was born, the cake came all the way from Hartford made with love from a little Italian bakery that her mom grew up enjoying, the florist was Ashley’s grandparents florist, Andy even proposed with family present! Family is a huge part of who they are and it remained embedded inside every single moment of their wedding day. When Ashley said, “I can’t wait to share your beautiful photography with my future children”, something resonated inside me. Sharing memories, moments, and experiences is what I live for. It was an honor to be a part of, and help capture forever, their special day. For them, their family, their children and their children’s children. Congratulations, Ashley & Andy!

Stacey & Jamal's Vintage Inspired Mississauga Wedding

Stacey & Jamal celebrated their love with a small and beautiful civil ceremony at the city hall. It was an intimate wedding and reception with the closest of family and friends, and everyone had an amazing time together. It was a lot of fun to photograph- (plus, that 1930s style reception dress and birdcage veil are so classic!) Sam's Autumn Maternity Shoot - Oakville Maternity Photographer

Last month I had the pleasure of shooting and sharing with you moments from Sam's Baby Shower, and with only a month until her delivery date, Sam pulled out her favorite top, pretty pink glasses, new boots and we did a maternity session in the park. The weather was warm and the light perfect- a great compliment to Sam's beautiful glow. I'd like to share with you a few favorites from our time together, but man it was hard deciding on which to share!
